Oh yes, we are talking about rape. Touchy subject, I know.
But did you know that South Africa has one of the highest rates of rape in the world? And among the highest incidences of child and baby rape. If the rapist is convicted, his prison time would be around two years, give or take.
I don't know how you feel about that, but I am shocked right out of my socks. ONLY TWO YEARS OF JAIL TIME, for traumatizing someone for life. Jeepers. I am not only speaking about women but also men.
*gasp* men? You don't exactly see social media creating a fuss about men being raped and assaulted. Therefore, this post is dedicated to both men and women. To those who suffer long term trauma and fear. A different kind of fear that no one could imagine.
Also, everyone is blaming men for human trafficking. I mean, come on. Women are obviously behind the brains in the operation. No offense men, but sometimes we think better when it comes to keeping a child alive long enough to be sold.
For example, the four men that snatched Amy'Leigh, a 6-year-old from her mother's arms were not the masterminds. It was a teacher, who was also a family friend, a 40-year-old woman, and a 50-year-old man. Now, what does that tell you? Not all men are monsters and not all women are so innocent.
Luckily for you, it looks like the Garden Route area, a.k.a. George has about 2% of rape and 48% of robbery. I guess it is better to have earthly possessions stolen then your virtue.
Quote of the day:
"She knew I could tell with one glance, one look, one simple instant. It was her eyes. Despite the thick makeup, they were still dark-rimmed., haunted, and sad. Most of all though, they were familiar. The fact that we were in front of hundreds of strangers changed nothing at all. I'd spent a summer with those same eyes-scared, lost, confused-staring back at me. I would have known them anywhere.”
